The other night I was searching for some after Christmas sales online and came across b-glowing. I had never bought from them before but decided to check out their year end clearance. I purchased the By Terry Terrybly Densiliss Foundation in shade Warm Sand 08 at something like 50% off, By Terry Hyaluronic Blush, and a bkr water bottle (bkr is somewhat of an obsession of mine right now, I had to get a new bottle when I saw that it was only fifteen dollars). I couldn’t believe the prices I got these items at; they were real steals. My order shipped quickly and arrived within the following week. Check out b-glowing by clicking this link!
Emoji themed gold jewelry? What more could a girl ask for! These dainty Alison Lou necklaces have been my go to accessories. I picked up the “crazy” and “bashful” versions of the necklace online from Nordstrom. The crazy version has a yellow enamel back while the bashful version has a pink back (sometimes I wear them with the enamel side facing up for a pop of color). The chains have a cute little logo at the ends as well! I can’t wait to see the new collection for SS15.
After being on waitlist for 6 months, I finally got my hands on the Mansur Gavriel bucket bag. Let me start off by saying, this bag is worth the wait! I got the black/flamma color combination (very Christian Louboutin-esque). The leather is vegetable tanned and is sturdy, preventing the bag from losing shape. Its the perfect size, color, and style for every day wear. I can’t wait to pick up other colors when they’re in stock! Worth the hype and worth the investment.
I’ve been eyeing the Charlotte Olympia kitty flats for months. Last week, I finally bit the bullet and purchased the ‘Kitty Studs’ flats from net-a-porter.
I typically wear a US 11 and I ordered a size IT 42. The shoes fit perfectly length wise but sadly are a bit narrow. When I walk, the shoe gaps a tad on the side. However, with wear I am sure that the fit will adjust as they are suede.
The quality of these flats is top notch. The studs are securely fastened and the suede is soft. The inside of the shoe is lined with equally soft tan leather. My only complaint is that they are quite slippery (especially on carpet)!
These flats are cute and comfortable. Although pricey, they are good quality and are iconic of Charlotte Olympia’s label. They are definitely worth the splurge!

Over this past summer, I took a trip touring the major cities and attractions of Portugal with my family. And I fell in love. The food, the people, the shopping (perhaps I shopped a little more than I should have), and of course the breathtaking scenery–everything was out-of-this-world. Keep reading for a quick look at some of my “must-see” cities and towns from the trip!
Lisbon was somewhat different than the other European capitals I have visited. There was something about Lisbon that was a little more laid-back than let’s say Paris or Madrid, however, it still had that big city feel. The hotel we stayed in for our first few nights and last night was right in the center of the city alongside other major chain hotels. It was within walking distance of the major shopping/dining squares and Castelo de São Jorge/St. George’s Castle was just up the hill (a very large hill I might add). Torre de Belem and the Monument of the Explorers, both iconic images of Lisbon, were just a 10 minutes taxi ride away. Across from our hotel, there was a small park with pop-up booths and tents serving healthy, but definitely yummy, fresh juices and snacks (mostly vegan). There was live music played at night as well as movie screenings which was a pleasant surprise!
Obidos is a small medieval town we made a stop in for the morning. There were beautiful flowers growing all throughout the town and onto the walls of the white washed buildings. It was beautiful and a change of pace. Yet, I might remember it more because of the local cherry alcohol known as ginjinha in dark chocolate shot glasses than the landscape itself.
Oporto is the second largest city in Portugal, but felt livelier than Lisbon itself. The city is beautiful and surrounded by rolling hills due to its location alongside the Douro river. There were large television screens set up alongside several points of the river bank for the World Cup (and Super Bock being sold just a step away). Oporto is also the home of Port wine! We visited Sandeman winery for a tasting and tour; it was delightful. The food in Oporto was outstanding and there were many restaurants open in the evening with views of the river.
Last but definitely not least, the Algarve. The Algarve region has many resort towns along stretches of beaches. We stayed in Carvoeiro-Algarve and Lagos, and both were equally breathtaking. With crystal clear water, salty air, and top notch seafood the Algarve takes the cake for my favorite stop on the trip. Not to mention, we ran into Claudio Corti and other Grand Prix motorcyclists on the beach in Lagos!
